Bonded ADSL
Increase your internet speeds and reduce your costs.
- Increase ADSL up/download speeds with bonded ADSL
- Gives better speeds than leased lines at half the cost
- Fast to deploy, only 15 working days to install
What is Bonded ADSL?
A bonded solution allows multiple DSL connections, either ADSL or SDSL to be physically bonded together creating a faster connection to the Internet.
A bonded broadband connection combines two or more Internet connections and uses them as a single connection to gain the increased bandwidth speeds for both Internet downloads and uploads.
Bonding broadband connections is a complex operation but offers increased physical upload and download capability, it provides;
- Increased bandwidth in areas currently poorly served by high speed broadband
- A credible alternative to expensive leased lines
- Very high speeds, over 50Mbps download, using bonded high speed ADSL2+ broadband connections
- Increased reliability the bonded ADSL solution makes use of all lines simultaneously, meaning that if one of the ADSL links develops a fault, the bonded solution will continue to run on the other links.
In addition the service can be deployed very quickly with 15 working days and is covered by our 99.9% Service Level Agreement.
How do OciusB2 provide Bonded ADSL Service?
OciusB2 ADSL bonding service is based on the world class Xrio Unified Bandwidth Managed (UBM) solutions which enable use to provide a fully managed, resilient and reliable service to our customers. In our data centre we have a UBM server cluster which provides the termination for customers edge UMB devices.
This approach has proven to be both reliable and fast to use. Many of our customers across the UK now enjoy faster speeds than they previously thought possible at a far lower cost than a leased line. OciusB2 provides a 24x7 monitoring service for both the UBM devices and the individual ADSL lines.
Leased line speeds at DSL prices. Match upload and download speeds by bonding multiple low cost DSL connections with OciusB2.
How does the bonded ADSL service integrate with my network?
OciusB2 provides a fully managed service consisting of the data centre server cluster and the edge UBM device. If necessary we can provide a one-stop- shop for the ADSL/SDSL lines and even the analogue telephone lines. We provide customers with a range of public IP address that will connect directly to their own firewall.
The bonded DSL solution enables to provide full internet capability for inbound and outbound services such as dial-in VPNs, site-to-site VPNs and the hosting of mail and web servers.
What speeds can I achieve with Bonded ADSL?
Most of our bonded ADSL customers are using two, three or four bonded ADSL circuits, but some customers have bonded up to 16 lines. Speeds vary depending on your specific setup but as a general rule each circuit should maintain the total sum of its individual ADSL circuit parts minus a small percentage for network overheads. For example, if your bonded network comprises four 20Mbps ADSL2+ LLU lines, the resulting speed should be around 70Mbps. Using Bonded ADSL, you can have a credible low cost alternative to a leased line service.
